Ugandan long distance runner Jacob Kiplimo has picked another Gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham, England .

 

Jacob Kiplimo won the 5000m finals , running to the finishing line posting 13:08:08 ahead of the Kenyan duo , Nicholas Kimeri and Jacob Krop.

 

It’s his second Gold medal at the games having won the 10,000m recently.

 

He joins the exclusive club of Ugandan Athletees like Moses Kipsiro (2010) and Joshua Cheptegei (2018) that have won the long distance doubles at the Commonwealth games.

 

It’s the 4th medal at the games for Ugandans, with 3 gold medals and 1 Bronze medal won by female Athlete Peruth Chemutai in the 3000m steeplechase.
