KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso has said that he demands more from his players after their Stanbic Uganda Cup narrow victory against Busia United FC at Madibira Grounds in Busia.

The Kasasiro Boys registered a 2-1 slim victory  against hosts Busia United FC and according to Byekwaso, his players could have put up a better show against the regional league side especially in the last 20 minutes of the game.

Two first half goals from skipper Gift Ali and Charles Lwanga are all KCCA FC needed to progress to the round of 32.

“I want to thank my players for the effort they showed today but I am not impressed with the display especially in the final 20 minutes of the game,” Byekwaso was quoted by KCCA FC’s official website before adding.

“I give credit to the hosts (Busia United FC) for the performance they have showed against us. The competition has showed us that we no longer have underdogs.”

“The last 20 minutes of the game had them take control of the game but that is cup football. We shall pick the positives from the result today and what is important is that we have progressed to the next round.”

KCCA FC are now waiting for the draws to know the club they will face in the round of 32 as they chase their 11th Uganda Cup title.
