Buganda Region outfit Buwambo United FC is currently into intensified preparations ahead of a play off tie against Luwero United FC in her second attempt to climb to the second tier league.

Buwambo United who at the time of the league abortion due to COVID-19 outbreak were at the summit of Katonga group table with 34 points in 16 games will face off with Ssezibwa group leaders Luwero United FC.

Gerald Ssenkungu, the head coach Buwambo United is optimistic his side will register success despite challenges attributed to a long COVID-19 break.
We resumed training immediately after the president’s announcement of sports restart. The camp is gradually gaining moment now.
We have challenges that the players’ bodies are currently down due the a long time break but we are focused.
Our primary target since the start was to gain promotion and hopefully, this is our year”. Gerald Ssenkungu.

Gerald Ssenkungu and his assistant Richard Kansole will largely bank on their season top goal scorer Benardino Kateregga (7 goals) against Luwero United FC who finished at the summit of Ssezibwa group with 33 points in 14 games.

The final play off will determine who joins the FUFA Big league next season.
Play off date and venue is yet to be announced.
