Giants Buddo SS, Kitende and STAHIZA sealed semi-final slots at the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) qualifiers for Wakiso district.

Kitende beat Greenlight 3-0 in the quarter-final to storm semis. Hassan Mubiru, Ronald Madoi and Chopra scored for Kitende.

The national reigning champions will face winner between Andy Mwesigwa SS and Kawempe Royal College whose quarter-final tie is on this morning.

Wakiso district defending champions Buddo SS won 2-1 against resilient London College-Nansana in a highly contested quarter-final tie.

Sharp shooter Denis Kisiliko scored a brace for Buddo SS and London College-Nansana netted through Joseph Nwogeza.

Buddo will lock horns with Agrey zone champions Standard High-Zana who eliminated Wampeewo champions St. Julian by 1-0.

A lone strike by Bashir Kintu shouldered STAHIZA past Julian in a slim win.

Andy Mwesigwa SS and Kawempe Royal will face off in the last quarter final this and winner will play against St. Mary’s Kitende in the semi-final later in the evening.

The final will be played this Saturday 1st April at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso City.

Buddo SS, Kitende, STAHIZA and the winner between Andy Mwesigwa SS and Kawempe Royal College automatically qualify for Nationals to be held in Kabalore district in Fort-Portal City.
