The 27 man squad announcement was done today by head coach Paul Joseph Put at FUFA House in Mengo, Kampala.

For the first time since 2023 under Milutin Micho Sredojevic, midfielder Tadeo Lwanga will feature for Uganda and this will be his first appearance since Paul Joseph Put took over as Uganda Cranes coach.

The former Vipers and Villa captain Lwanga recently played in the second round of the CAF Champions League preliminaries, where his side failed to reach the group stages, falling to Egyptian Pyramids.

KCCA FC’s magic young star Shafik Kwikiriza has earned his first calling and Sandvikens IF Calvin Kabuye.

The Uganda Cranes lead Group K with four points from two outings and host South Sudan on October 11 before visiting the latter four days later.
