Lugazi FC extended their unbeaten streak with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Mbarara City at the Lugazi Stadium.

The hosts have now recorded consecutive draws, showcasing their resilience and determination.

Mbarara City’s Latif Ssenkubuge broke the deadlock in the 58th minute, scoring a crucial away goal.

However, Lugazi FC refused to back down, defending tenaciously to deny the visitors a win.

In the 85th minute, Ali Arshavin Bayo emerged as the hero, scoring a brilliant equalizer to level the match.

Bayo’s late strike secured a vital point for Lugazi FC, leaving them in 12th position with 13 points. Mbarara City also has 13 points, occupying the 13th spot.

In another matchday 12 fixture, Kitara FC thrashed Maroons FC 4-0, with Jude Ssemugabi scoring a brace.

This victory marked Wasswa Bbosa’s third win since taking over from Brian Senyondo. Kitara FC now sits in 11th position with 14 points, while Maroons FC occupies 6th place with 16 points.

Matchday 12 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League continues on Friday, with SC Villa hosting Police FC in Wankulukuku and Express FC facing off against URA FC.
