Buganda minister for Youth, Sports and Recreation Henry Moses Ssekabembe Kiberu  confirmed readiness of the organizing committee to hold this year’s Masaza Cup opener between holders Bulemezi and Butambala on 12th December 2020 at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru

Ssekabembe also confirmed the day’s program and procedures that will be followed by a few lucky people to attend the event.

“Arrivals of invited guests shall be  at 1:30 pm before Katikiro’s arrival. At 2:40 pm his majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi Kimera II of Buganda will arrive at FUFA Technical center Njeru ahead of the match kick off at exactly 3pm.” Ssekabembe.

Ssekabembe further cautioned travelers to Njeru to drive safely and in time to avoid loss of lives due to accidents.

“I request all Kabaka’s subjects planning to travel to Njeru to start the journey in time to avoid over speeding. Jinja road is a very busy and dangerous route with so many heavy lorries. Let’s careful to avoid loss of lives.” Ssekabembe.

This 16th edition of the tournament since 2004. Gomba is the most successful county with four trophies.

Bulemezi is the defending champion after her 1-0 win courtesy of South Sudanese forward Emmanuel Loki over Busiro in last year’s final at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
