Express FC assistant captain Abel Etrude has been voted the club’s player of the month for October.

The holding midfielder polled 41% of the vote beating center back Murushid Juuko who managed 31% of the votes and midfielder Yaya Mahad Kakooza who got 28%.

“I am so happy to have won the Express FC Player of the month for October. This will surely motivate me more to double my effort going forward,” Etrude said.

“I didn’t start the first two games but I was certain my time will come and when it did I gave it my all.”

“I also want appreciate the technical team and my teammates for making me better and the fans too for voting me,” he added.

Etrude featured in two league outings in October with his first coming on matchday three away to BUL FC, he helped the team earn maximum points and picked up his first Pilsner MOTM award.

He also put up another great display at home against Vipers SC and won another Pilsner MOTM Award.
