Kikomeko joins the Eastern side days after guiding Mbale Heroes to the FUFA Big League and has been awarded three years.

He replaces Simeon Masaba who working on interim basis after the departure of Alex Isabirye mid way last season.

Known for grooming young talents is one of the reasons that led to the appointment of Kikomeko,

“We have taken Mr Abbey Kikomeko  to be our new head coach for the senior team for the next three years.”

“He is very experienced coach who has been in the Uganda Premier League and other competitions and I am sure with the experience he has he will take us to greater heights where we want to be.”

“He is a youthful coach known for grooming great talents in Jinja and the whole of the Eastern region and with the things we want to achieve at the club we thought wisely and zeroed to him as the best candidate for the job.”

Busoga United and Mbale Heroes are the club he has previously worked with
