Fresh Dairy Games: Favorites St. Noa, Kawempe Muslim and other six storm quarter-final stage

Last year’s semi finalists Kawempe Muslim Secondary School, St. Noa Girls-Zana, Rines High School and Amus College Bukedea have all made it to the Semi-final stage at the ongoing Fresh Dairy Secondary Schools Games in Mbarara.

The other four schools in this year’s edition quarter-finals are Olila High School, Sacred Hearts SS (Gulu), giant killers Mukono Parents and Boni Consili.

Agnes Nabukenya and Hadijah Nandago scored a goal each as Kawempe sealed a 2-0 win against Shuuku Vocational School to book a quarter-final date with Amus College-Bukedea.

Kawempe Muslim led group H with maximum points (15), scoring 25 in five (3 less than the most scoring St. Noa).

On the other hand, their quarter-final counterpart Amus College beat Ryakasinga CHE 3-1 to advance to this level.

Defending champions St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana eased past Nyabubare SS in a 3-0 win.

Sarah Bibirye, Winniefred Kwatulira and Sunday Aketowanga scored once for the champions to seal a quarter final slot.

They meet Gulu’s Sacred Hearts SS in the quarter-final. Sacred Hearts SS eliminated the 2018 champions Gaddafi Intergrated Academy in a five goal thriller of 3-2.

Elsewhere, Rines High School put 2-0 past Bugisu while Mukono Parents eliminated St. Malico by 2-0 to reach their first ever quarter-final.

Immaculate Odalu scored both goals as Rines High School overcame Bugisu.

The quarter-final games will be held on Saturday, the 13th whilst Semi-finals are on Sunday 14th before the finals on Monday 15th May 2023.

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana are the defending champions. The Semi fantasists will qualify for this year’s Federation of East African Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) game to be held in Huye, Rwanda starting this August.
