Fair groups for giants Kitende, Buddo SS as USSSA boys football draws for Wakiso district held

St. Mary’s Kitende, Buddo SS, Standard High-Zana and Kawempe Royal College were seeded teams as Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) boy football qualifiers for Wakiso region draws held.

The draws that saw over 20 teams from Wakiso district pooled in four different groups were held on Saturday, 25th March 2023 at WAKISHA headquarters in Wakiso.

The reigning Wakiso district and national champions St Mary’s Kitende are group D top seed.

They will face London College Nansana, Aiden College – Ndejje, Abu Aisha, Light High School – Sseguku and a Late Comer 1 as the tournament rolls off on Sunday, 26th at the host school Kisubi Mapeera.

House holds Buddo S.S was pitted in group A alongside Entebbe zone champions Boston High School, Madinah Islamic, Green Light – Nansana, Kinaawa High School, City Land College – Matugga.

Last year’s semi finalists Kawempe Royal Bulaga are in group B. They face the Wampeewo champions St Julian High School Gayaza, R. Gardens Groove, Namugongo Vocational & Secondary School, Kyadondo S.S and hosts Kisubi Mapeera

Group C is comprised of Agrey zone champions Standard High-Zana, Lake View Church of Uganda Kitinda, Kawanda S.S, Andy Mwesigwa S.S, Kasule High School and Wampewo Ntake S.S.

Only two top teams from each group shall qualify for the quarter-final stage of the championship.

Wakiso district/region will have five schools  qualifying for (USSSA) nationals in Fort Portal city of Kabalore district set to be hosted at Nyakasura School in May 2023.

A: Buddo S.S, Boston High School, Madinah Islamic, Green Light – Nansana, Kinaawa High School, City Land College – Matugga.

B: Kawempe Royal Bulaga, St Julian High School Gayaza, R. Gardens Groove, Namugongo Vocational & Secondary School, Kisubi Mapeera, Kyadondo S.S

C: Standard High Zzana, Lake View Church of Uganda Kitinda, Kawanda S.S, Andy Mwesigwa S.S, Kasule High School, Wampewo Ntake S.S

D: St Mary’s Kitende, London College Nansana, Aiden College – Ndejje, Ab Aisha, Light High School – Sseguku, Late Comer 1
