Wakiso Giants lost at the death as Michael Siwu scored late to hand Blacks Power their first ever win over the Purple Sharks.

Without several key players including skipper Hassan Ssenyonjo, Shariph Kimbowa and Titus Ssematimba, the coach made several changes to the line-up.

The lads were dominant in the game and hit the cross bar through Marvin Nyanzi who also had a game disallowed for offside.

Aliro and Ojik also had attempts on goal saved by the hosts’ goalkeeper in each half.

With the game in the additional time, Siwu gave the hosts the win with a headed goal which prolongs our wait for a win in the second round.

Wakiso Giants next game will be at home against UPDF on Friday next week.

The loss left Wakiso Giants winless in their previous five league games. They are now fifth on the table with 26 points from 18 games played so far.
