Super substitute Herman Wasswa and Denis Kalanzi second half goals to help Police FC to progress to the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup eliminating fellow Big League side Ndejje University at Kavumba.

Kalanzi’s header off Joseph Ssentume’s cross in the 79th minute was the opener for Police FC.

Wasswa sealed it off five minutes to the end of the second. Herman Wasswa introduced in the 81st minute coming in for Aliyi Danjuma Ahmed.

The Cops seal the eighth quarter final slot joining defending champions BUL, Express FC, KCCA, Adjumani TC, Soltilo Bright Stars and Calvary FC.

BUL FC are the defending champions they defeated Vipers SC 3-1 at Masindi Stadium last year.

This 49th edition final will be played in Lira later this year.
