Rt. Hon Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among flagged off Uganda’s girls representatives Amus College School Bukedea for 2023 Pan Africa Schools Tourney.

The flag off was held on Wednesday morning in Kampala before the team flown out in the afternoon.

The Bukedea based school (Amus College) is among the sixteen schools from eight Nations confirmed for the first CECAFA zone qualification tournament.

The Pan Africa schools (CECAFA Zone) qualification championship in to be helpful in Dar-es-salaam city, Tanzania from 17th – 19th February.

The delegation of 26 people left Entebbe International Airport on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 aboard Kenya Airways.

The tournament will feature players who are strictly U15.

The finalists will qualify for the inaugural Africa Schools Football Championship due in Morocco later on 7th to 9th April.

Royal Giant High School Mityana and  Awill represent Uganda in boys football at the tournament.

The winners in the boys and girls category will walk away with USD 100,000, whilst, the runners-up will take USD75,000 and bronze medalists USD 50,000.
