Attacking Midfielder Pius Chris Akena has completed a move to Al Rams Football Club in Shabab Alahli, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“I wanna thank whoever was part of this and made the move happen, it’s a beautiful day and hoping to achieve more with my new family”, read Akena’s twit.

The left footed youngster was part of the Uganda Cranes squad and earned his debut last year in January during a friendly match against Iraq which Uganda lost 1-0.

 

Akena played 20 minutes after replacing Milton Karisa in the 70th minute and he also featured in the Uganda Cranes 3-1 loss to Bahrain .

 

Al Rams FC was founded in 1965 and it competes in the UAE First Division .

He has previously featured for Proway Soccer Academy in Bweyogerere under Muwonge Anthony, Aspire Academy Qatar and Maroons FC.
