Vipers SC have strengthened their squad by securing the signature of Congolese duo in Olivier Osomba and Alfred Macumu Mudekereza.
Osomba who a defensive midfielder, joins from Burundi’s Aigle Noir Makamba on a three-year deal after the expiry of his contract.
Osomba arrives at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende after one season in Burundi where he scored five goals, made seven (7) assists from 21 League games.
“I’m really happy and delighted to be here at Vipers SC. It’s a massive club and l promise to give my best,” Osomba told Vipers Media in his first interview.
“It’s a pleasure to be here in Uganda and I’m very happy to be a part of this great club. And l thank the club for giving me this opportunity.”
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old former AS Vita goalkeeper Mudekereza has signed a deal with the Venoms for three years to boost up the goalkeeping department ahead of a busy season.
“I’m feeling very happy; really happy to be here and to work in this great club and Starr doing my stuff on the pitch as soon as possible,” he told Vipers media.
“I’m very ambitious, l come here to try to win everything, to try to push from the first minute and to make us better.”
“Obviously l want to win more. I come here to fight for all the competitions. We have many competitions ahead – we’re going to fight for everything.”
Mudekereza arrives after his three-year spell with Congolese side Olympic Club Bukavu Dawa came to an end at the conclusion of last season.
