SC Villa returned to winning ways after a 1-0 win over Gaddafi FC in a league game held at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru on Wednesday.

Substitute Benson Muhindo scored the only goal for the Joggos as they picked maximum points at home in Njeru.

The win ends Villa’s winless streak as they had gone eight games without registering any victory in the league.

It is also a relief to Villa’s head coach Petros Koukouras, whose job has been uncertain following the poor run of results at the club of recent.

Throughout half time, there was literally nothing to write about as there was limited goal scoring opportunities from both sides.

In the second stanza, Villa started the better side and it paid when substitute Muhindo put them ahead with five minutes past the hour mark. His goal could later turn to be winner on the day.

In the closing stages, Villa who were already a goal ahead held on to bag all the three needed points on the day.

The result ensured that Villa registered their fifth win of the season. They now move to the 11th position with 22 points after 21 games in the Season.

For Gaddafi, they suffer their 7th loss of the season and they remain in the 8th position with 26 points after 21 games so far.
