Vipers SC returned to the winning waywith a 2-0 win against Busoga United.

Hilary Mukundane and Paul Mucureezi scored for Vipers in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The Venoms won a penalty in the fifth minute after Milton Karisa was brought down in the forbidden area, Bright Anukani stepped up and skied the ball over the bar.

Vipers finally broke the deadlock through Hilary Mukundane who scored his first Vipers SC goal with a great header following a great delivery from Bright Anukani in the 25th minute.

In the 70th minute, Vipers got another chance with Halid Lwaliwa heading the ball straight in but it was well saved by goalkeeper Andrew Ssekandi.

In the 83rd minute, Paul Mucureezi made it 2-0 for Vipers SC by unleashing an absolute thunderbolt to double the lead.

The win left Vipers on the top of the table with 46 points, four ahead of second placed KCCA FC while Busoga United remained 11th with 21 points.
