Juma Balinya scores a second half strike as Police FC edge Gaddafi FC 1-0 in the Uganda Cup round of 32 tie at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Friday.

Balinya pounced on a lose ball after George Kiryowa sent Ruben Kimera’s corner back into the six-yards box.

Although they won, Police’s performance left a lot to be desired for Police as they did not create so much in front of the goal.

The result saw Police FC storm the 2022 Uganda Cup round of 16.

Elsewhere, BUL FC produced a fine display to edge Busoga United 3-0 in their Uganda Cup round of 32 clash played at Kakindu on Friday.

BUL FC took the lead in the 23rd minute through the in-form Karim Ndugwa who headed home a Richard Ayiko cross.

They doubled their lead when they were awarded a penalty in the 37th minute which Ndugwa converted before Walter Ochora netted the BUL’s third goal of the goal.

Meanwhile, Maroons FC cruised to the next round of the tournament with a 3-0 win against Atekers FC.
