Express FC forward Erick Kambale has been voted the Yellow Card Player of the month for December. The 21-year-old becomes the first player to win the award back to back having claimed it in November.

Kambale claimed the award ahead of fellow forward Senkaaba George and left back Sadiq Ssekyembe with the lanky forward polling 105 of 170 total votes cast gannering 62% while Ssekyembe polled 47 votes amassing 28% and Senkaaba got 18 votes which equates to 10%.

“I am grateful to the fans for voting for me once again. This means a lot, it gives me motivation to work harder.”

“I also want to thank my teammates who enabled me to win this award, now I want to double my efforts and end the year with bigger numbers,” Kambale said.

Kambale featured in all the five league outings and scored four goals and adding an assist in the process. The forward kicked off his goal feast on match day 9 at home against Mbarara City FC as the Red Eagles won 2-0 with Kambale and Lwesibawa scoring.

He then scored the only goal again at home on match day 11 against Gaddafi FC heading home Sadiq Ssekyembe’s corner kick but it was on the last game at home of the year that he made it count notching a brace against Busoga United FC to take his tally to four in the month.
