Vipers SC will be aiming at bouncing back from their 2-0 loss against URA FC with a win as they take on newly promoted Gaddafi FC on Wednesday evening.

This is the first meeting between the two in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with the Venoms seeking a reaction after the 2-0 home loss to URA FC on Saturday last week.

Vipers SC head coach Robertinho is confident that his side will be able to bounce back with a win.

“Like l said, every match for us is like a final. So, every game is important therefore I’m confident and hopeful we shall bounce back to winning ways,” Robertinho said..

The first Venoms engagement with the soldier boys was during the 2021/22 Pre-season friendly in Jinja where we won 2-0, thanks to David Bagoole’s superb two magic strikes.

The Venoms lie fifth on the league standings 6 points behind leaders KCCA FC with a game in hand thus nothing but three points can keep the momentum on the pacesetters however, Gaddafi FC are not a pushover making this tie an interesting one.

Richard Basangwa, Lawrence Tezikya and Umaru Kyebatala remain long time absentees ruling them out of this game after undergoing surgery and it’s the second round earmarked for their returns.

The rest of the squad is available for selection save for Yunus Sentamu who returned to training last week from a knee knock hence this tie is too early for him.
