Vipers SC captain Halid Lwaliwa scored the only goal of the match as his side won 1-0 against Onduparaka FC at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Tuesday.

This was Lwaliwa’s first game for Vipers this season as he was returning from injury.

Bobosi Byaruhanga had a long range shot at goal in the 15th minute but the ball faded wide of the post.

In the 20th minute, Paul Willa won the ball and crossed the ball into the box to Cesar Mankozi who headed wide.

Byaruhanga missed a header in the 25th minute following a great cross by Bright Anukani before missing another header by inches after a beautiful service from Anukani in the 30th minute.

Vipers finally broke the deadlock in the added minutes of the first half after captain Halid Lwaliwa headed in the ball following a beautiful delivery from Anukani.

In the 76th minute, Vipers had another chance with amazing and well struck freekick by Paul Mucureezi to make Onduparaka goalkeeper Micheal Kagiri fumbling to get the ball but it was cleared away.

Following this win, Vipers remained second on the table with 10 points from four games while Onduparaka is now 10th with five points from five games played so far.
