Wakiso Giants FC head coach Douglas Bamweyana has resigned from his role at the club following a poor start to the season.

Bamweyana leaves the club after losing the opening two games and he reportedly handed in his resignation on Sunday October 24th.

The Purple Sharks kicked off the season with a 3-0 loss against KCCA FC before losing 5-0 to Vipers that prompted Bamweyana to leave his position.

“Whereas, I fully own and regret the terrible results from our opening two league games against KCCA FC and Vipers SC – I was very confident that we will change the tide and real quick,” part of Bamweyana’s letter reads.

Meanwhile, the club is yet to make any official statement about the matter.
