Wakiso Giants FC head coach Douglas Bamweyana has said that his side is well prepared ahead of their clash against Vipers SC.

The two sides will face off at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Friday in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League match day two.

Wakiso Giants enter this game targeting for their maiden win this season after losing 3-0 against KCCA FC on the opening day.

“We treat all games the same way. For us we believe in ourselves and we have prepared well,” Bamweyana said.

“In our last game, our biggest disappointments was our self not exactly the opponent and I think the score line flatters them. We had chances but failed to take them.”

“That’s where we have tried to put emphasis in the last few days to try and improve on our finishing and our authority in the final third,” he added.

Wakiso Giants enter this game without defender Hassan Wasswa Dazo who pulled out of the team on match day one in the warm up is out for a few weeks.

Pius Kaggwa has also not trained fully with the team since he suffered injury in pre-season and is out as well.

Right back Grant Matsiko has returned to training but won’t feature as he doesn’t have match fitness.

“Wasswa pulled out in the warm up and he will be out for a few weeks,” Bamweyana said.

“Pius Kaggwa has also not kicked a ball after he got injured in the pre-season and remains out for long.”

“Grant is back but won’t feature on Friday as he is not fit enough but will probably be available for the forthcoming games.”

Meanwhile, Vipers SC enter this game looking for their second win this season after winning 2-0 against Police FC on matchday one.
