Express FC’s poor form has continued when they were held by Kyetume FC to a goalless draw at Betway Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku on Saturday evening.

Express FC entered this game looking for a win to move second on the log but unfortunately, Kyetume had planned otherwise.

In the 11th minute, Saqid Ssekyembe fouled Ntambi Julius and the freekick was awarded. Ntambi took it but Murushid Juuko calmly cleared it for the Red Eagles.

In the 20th minute, Charles Musiige tried to weave through the Kyetume FC defence from the left but right back Julius Ntambi seemed to be calm and cleared the ball very well.

Six minutes later, Richard Matovu fouled Godfrey Lwesibawa on the left and Lwesibawa took the resultant free kick  but Murushid Juuko failed to connect well with the cross.

In the 28th minute, Godfrey Lwesibawa forced Kyetume FC custodian Joel Mutakubwa into a save after a run through and hit the ball well from a distance.

Four minutes to halftime, Abel Etrude weaved through the Kyetume midfield and found Kalanda whose goal bound shot was cleared very well.

In the 51st minute, Erick Kambale’s effort agonizingly went past the near post after Godfrey Lwesibawa chipped in from the left.

A draw left Express FC third placed with 29 points while Kyetume is now 13th on the log with 12 points from 14 games played.
