Trinity Catholic High School – Nalweyo delivered a commanding statement at the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Kakumiro District National Ball Games II qualifiers, securing four of the six trophies on offer in a display of all-round dominance.

The Nalweyo-based institution were crowned champions in Netball, Boys’ Volleyball, Girls’ Volleyball, and Girls’ Football, underlining their growing stature as a multi-sport powerhouse within the district.

In Netball, Trinity Catholic produced a flawless campaign, winning all four of their matches in a five-team round-robin tournament staged at St. Edward’s Secondary School on Friday, 19th June 2026.

They opened their account with a composed 16–10 victory over Birembo Seed School, before asserting their superiority with a resounding 29–01 triumph against St. Paul.

Momentum firmly on their side, Trinity proceeded to dismantle hosts St. Edward’s 26–00 in a one-sided affair.

The decisive fixture came against Uganda Rural Development and Training Programme (URDT), with both sides level on six points after three matches.

Rising to the occasion, Trinity Catholic sealed the championship in emphatic fashion, overpowering URDT 30–13 to finish unbeaten and top the standings with eight points.

URDT, who secured second place, registered convincing wins in their other fixtures—defeating St. Edward’s 17–04, St. Paul 25–00, and Birembo Seed School 15–05—demonstrating their own competitive edge despite falling short in the title decider.

Four teams—Trinity Catholic, URDT, St. Paul, and St. Edward’s—advanced to the Bunyoro Zone Qualifiers, scheduled to run from Thursday, 25th to Sunday, 28th June at Bwikya Muslim Secondary School in Hoima.
