In a hard-fought encounter at Royals’ Park in Butema, Kitara FC returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over UPDF FC on Wednesday evening.
The Royals’ win was built on a foundation of resolve and attacking flair, as they demonstrated their ability to win ugly when it mattered most.

After a nervous start, Kitara FC took control, with Jimmy Kalema’s 34th-minute strike setting the tone for the hosts.
Crispus Asiki’s 39th-minute goal doubled the lead, giving Kitara a comfortable advantage at the break.
The second half was a masterclass in game management, as Kitara FC absorbed UPDF’s pressure and countered with precision.
Despite a late Samuel Sekamate free kick reducing the deficit, Kitara FC’s defense held firm, securing a hard-earned 2-1 win.
The victory lifts Kitara FC to 22 points, just one behind fourth-placed SC Villa, while UPDF FC remains 13th on 11 points.

The win marks a welcome return to form for Kitara FC, who next face a tough away trip to NEC FC at Lugogo on January 22.
UPDF FC, meanwhile, host Entebbe UPPC a day earlier, looking to bounce back from this setback.
