Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, University Principal Moses Muhwezi emphasized the importance of upholding the values and respect of the MUBS badge.

“As leaders, we know the values of sports and that’s why we make it part of ourselves.

Besides winning, there is much good beyond winning.

Always aim high sportingly but also networking and building connections that will turn you into valuable citizens,” he said.

Muhwezi stressed the importance of discipline, saying, “Discipline must be your first and last priority, and putting it in mind that you carry a MUBS badge.”

He added, “As the world shifts yearning for skills, sports is a skill that can earn you a living and shake big tables with big boys.”

MUBS will compete in 12 sports disciplines, including football, netball, woodball, Scrabble, volleyball, chess, pool, swimming, basketball, badminton, table tennis, and tennis.
