The Uganda Boxing Champions League is gearing up for its most anticipated event of the year, with the fourth season coming to a close on December 26th at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The day’s main contest will feature a highly anticipated rematch between Farahat Manirola, also known as “King Falat The Nightmare,” and Innocent Amoko, in the Elite category (63.5Kgs) bout.

Manirola, who made a dominant debut in the league with a 5:0 victory over Julius Kaddu, is looking to take over the Elite category belt.

However, Amoko, who secured his place in the main bout after a bye, has already tasted victory over Manirola, defeating him 3-2 in a split decision in the National Open Championship earlier this year.

“We have come all the way,” said Uganda Boxing Federation president Moses Muhangi.

“I am super excited that we have made it to the finals, and I call upon all Ugandans to tune in and witness our finals as we crown the champions.”

The event will feature over 27 bouts, including exciting matchups such as Amos Kyambadde vs Nuhu Matovu, Vanessa Nagawa vs Leilla Nalule, and Brenda Mudduwa vs Peninnah Amoding.

The UBCL officials expect the finale to showcase the depth of Ugandan amateur boxing, with contenders pushing for the last set of championship belts.

“We have always struggled with venues, which is why this time we decided to come to the NCS Arena,” Muhangi explained.

“But we will continue working hard so that next year we secure an even better venue.”

The stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to the Uganda Boxing Champions League, with the best boxers in the country vying for top honors.
