In a thrilling Uganda Premier League encounter, Police FC returned to winning ways with a resounding 4-0 thrashing of struggling Buhimba United at the Police Arena, Kira on Wednesday.

The hosts, who bounced back from their previous 2-1 home defeat to Kitara, dominated the match, with goals from Denis Kalanzi, Umaru Kasumba, Saidi Kyeyune, and Hussein Mwanje sealing the impressive win.
Kalanzi was an early threat, nearly giving Police the lead when he shrugged off his marker and forced a fine save from Buhimba United goalkeeper Jamil Kiyimba.

He eventually fired the hosts ahead in the 28th minute, tapping home a rebound after Kiyimba struggled to handle Lawrence Tezikya’s low drive.
Kasumba doubled the lead just before the break, smartly slotting the ball home from close range after Brian James Obedi’s clever pass.
The second half saw Kyeyune extend Police’s advantage, with Kalanzi turning provider, and Mwanje putting the icing on the cake, scoring the fourth goal thanks to a precise delivery from Emmanuel Mugume.

Meanwhile, Mbarara City and Entebbe UPPC played out a 1-1 draw at Rwamwanja Stadium, with Muhammed Kanyike and Ambrose Kigozi scoring for the hosts and visitors, respectively.
The result leaves Police third on the table with 17 points, while Buhimba United slip to 13th with nine points after nine games.
Mbarara City are 15th with six points, while UPPC climb to fifth with 14 points.
