The match lived up to its billing as second‑half substitute Frank Ssebuufu broke the deadlock for Villa in the 67th minute, converting a pass from Kato Ssemayange.

Vipers answered swiftly; Usama Arafat netted five minutes later, finishing Allan Okello’s craft after sustained pressure.

Tempers flared, culminating in an unusual dismissal for Villa’s Sula Matovu, who collected two bookings off the pitch—one in stoppage time of the first half and another in the 89th minute.
The draw lifted Villa to 17 points from eight games, nudging ahead of KCCA on goal difference, while Vipers slipped to fourth with 13 points, marking their first dropped points of the season.
