Defending champions Amus College teed off their title defecse with a convincing 70-56 win over Kenya’s Dagoretti High School in the boys’ basketball tournament at the Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Associations (FEASSA) Games.

The game, which was abandoned at halftime due to the sun setting, resumed yesterday, with Amus College maintaining their lead to seal the win.

At halftime, Amus College was leading 38-26, and they eventually won the game 70-56.

The victory marked a strong start for the defending champions, who are looking to retain their title.

In the other games, Kibuli SS secured a comfortable 61-45 win over Rwanda’s GS Marie Rennie Muhanga.

However, two Ugandan sides, Seeta High School and St Cyprian High School Kyabakade, suffered losses to Kenyan opponents.

Seeta High School lost 64-40 to Dr. Aggrey Secondary School, while St Cyprian High School Kyabakade lost 54-49 to Lukenya Boys High School.

The FEASSA Games are off to a thrilling start, with top teams competing fiercely in various sports disciplines.

Amus College’s win sets the tone for a strong title defense, while other teams look to build momentum in the tournament.
