The Busiro Ssaza football team, led by Owek Ssebwana Charles Kiberu Kisiliza, has officially unveiled a 28-man squad for the 2025 Masaza Cup edition.

The squad was revealed at Setema Ssaza ground, where Busiro won a friendly match against Kyandodo 2-0, setting the tone for their upcoming campaign.

Squad Overview

The team boasts a mix of fresh and experienced players, including new signings such as Hamza Kalibwami from Buddu, Rahman Kabaale from Busujju, and Ismail Lubega from Nkumba University.

Other notable recruits include Kennedy Ssewankambo, Julius Lukyamuzi, Jamiru Kajubi, and Allan Kalule.

These new players will join forces with key players from last year’s squad, including Peter Kaye, Sharif Muwaya, Lawrence Kimera, and Hamza Ntagugira.

Coaching Staff and Management Committee

The team will be led by a strong coaching staff, comprising Mulangira Denis Kiyimba as Head Coach, Hassan Wasswa Mawanda as Assistant Coach, Kimuli Robert as Second Assistant Coach, Lukyamuzi Richard as Trainer, Bukenya Grace as Goalkeeping Coach, and Dr. Batenda Ramadhan as Team Doctor.

The Busiro Ssaza Football Team management committee includes experienced individuals such as Chairman Richard Kijjambu, Vice Chairman Vincent Ssajjabi, Secretary Andrew Walakira Mukisa, and Technical Advisor Badru Ssenyonga, among others.

Fixtures and Group Stage

Busiro will kick off their campaign on Saturday, June 29th, against Busujju in the Bulange Group at Kakindu playground in Busujju.

The group features six teams, including Gomba, Buddu, Busiro, Busujju, Ssese, and Buluuli.

Busiro aims to win their second Masaza Cup title since the tournament’s inception in 2004.

The team is confident and ready to take on the challenge, and fans are eagerly anticipating their performance in the upcoming tournament.
