As the highly anticipated 2025 Masaza Cup edition approaches, 2008 champions Kyadondo has unveiled a 30-man squad for the tournament.

The unveiling event was held at their new home, War Memorial Stadium Nakivubo, on Thursday, June 19th, 2025.

The ceremony was marked by a highly entertaining friendly match between Uganda Cranes Select team and Kyadondo, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Friendly Match Highlights

The friendly match was a great opportunity for Kyadondo to test their skills and build team chemistry.

Ali Ssentongo put Kyadondo in the lead at the final bend of the first half, but Kenneth Kimera levelled for the Select side early in the second half, converting a penalty kick after a foul on Saidi Mayanja in the area.

2025 Masaza Cup Journey

Kyadondo, who were pitted in the Masengere group alongside Buweekula, Mawokota, Bugerere, Buvuma, and Bulemeezi, will begin their journey on Saturday, June 28th, against Bulemeezi at Nakivubo.

It has been 17 years since Kyadondo last appeared in the finals, having played and won their very first and last title in 2008.

Their biggest success since then came last year when they lost 4-2 on aggregate to Buddu in the semi-finals.

The 30-man squad unveiled by Kyadondo includes:

Defenders – Charles Kagoda, Alex Kiyaga, Samuel Mande, Faizo Kyazze, Donald Wafula, Erias Kirumira, Benerd Wasswa, Marvin Praise Wambuga

Midfielders – Abaas Muluuya, Junior Tonny Ndasse, Lucky Kasajja, David Kanonya, Joseph Kizza, Aziz Opio

Forwards – Marvin Kabiito, David Kanoonya, Isaac Ssenyunja, Kenneth Bukenya, Alex Mutebi, Enock Ssekatawa, Joshua Olara, Keita Ndifuna, Solomon Maiso, Jonathan Waiswa, Pius Mulema, Kato Kasule, Ismail Ogwal, Ivan Kalungi, Judi Asiku, Denis Kiggundu, Sudais Ssentamu, Arafat Baluk Ssentengo
