The Inaugural CAF U-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) is set to take place from January 7th to 18th, 2025, at the Azam Sports Complex in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.

Uganda’s representatives, Boni Consili Girls Vocational School, have been drawn in Group B alongside Tanzania’s TDS Girls, Aigle Noir from Burundi, and Somalia’s Hilaad.

Boni Consili Girls Vocational Team has been in residential camp at Old Kampala Secondary School, preparing for the tournament.

They played a final build-up match against Kawempe Muslim SS at the Hamz Stadium, winning 2-1 with Peace Ayirwoth scoring twice.

The team has also received their kits from the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) and is expected to depart for Tanzania on Sunday, January 5th, 2025.

The winners of each group will face off in the final on January 18th, 2025

The CAF U-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) is a pioneering initiative to promote the development of women’s football across Africa.

The tournament aims to provide a platform for young female footballers to showcase their skills, build player capacity, and promote women’s football at regional and continental levels.

Group A: JKT Queens (Tanzania), City Lights FA (South Sudan), B.D Kenema (Ethiopia), and K.A.S (Kenya)

Group B: TDS Girls (Tanzania), Aigle Noir (Burundi), Hilaad (Somalia), and Boni Consili Girls Vocational Team (Uganda)
