The Uganda U17 boy’s football national team, the Uganda Cubs, will be in action on Sunday against Tanzania in the AFCON U17 CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers.

In the opening game of Group A, Uganda will start their World Cup dream against a tricky side, Tanzania, at 4 pm at Ham Stadium in Nakivubo.

After three weeks of intense training and preparations, Uganda will be seeking a victory to keep their World Cup dream alive.

Head coach Brian Senyondo expressed his belief in the boys after the last training session on Saturday.

“We know how heavy the tournament is, but we come ready to face it off with any opponent because the final goal is playing at the U17 World Cup. Tomorrow’s game against Tanzania is our first step into our dream, so we will fight for victory,” Ssenyondo stated.

Uganda’s main objective is to secure a place in the CAF U17 Africa Cup of Nations, which serves as a pathway to the prestigious FIFA U17 World Cup.
