The Uganda Senior Women’s Football National Team, Crested Cranes, head coach Sheryl Botes has summoned the squad to play two friendly games in the upcoming international break against Algeria.

The first game will be played on November 27th, 2024, according to the FIFA Calendar, and the second will be played on December 30th 2024 in Algiers

Previously, Uganda played against DR Congo on the road, and the Sheryl Botes team won both games.

Algeria will use these games to get to know more about East African countries’ style of play since they might meet Tanzania in the WAFCON tournament in Morocco.

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) confirmed the official draw of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2024 will be conducted on Friday, November 22nd, 2024, at Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Sale, Morocco.

The draw will start at 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT) and will be broadcast live on major broadcast channels across Africa and internationally, as well as on CAF’s digital streaming platform, CAF TV. The draw will determine the fate of the 12 Africa’s top women’s National Teams.

The 13th edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place from July 5th to 26th, 2025, in Morocco.

South Africa is the current champion of the competition, having won it on Moroccan soil in 2022.
