Asefa Haile Gabreal has registered his second consecutive win since taking over at Kampala Queens.

The Palace Queens have won 1-0 against hosts Lady Doves at Katusabe Stadium in Masindi.

Skipper Shamirah Nalujja scored a quick one, early in the 2nd minute to give visitors Kampala Queens a 1-0 lead which eventually turned into the game winner.

This becomes the second victory in row for the Ethiopian tactician Asefa Haile Gabreal since taking over from Charles Ayiekho Mbuzi Lukula on 9th November this year.

In his first outing, Asefa’s Kampala Queens secured a 2-0 victory over Amus College WFC at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Shamusa Najjuma and Anita Namata scored for the 2022/23 champions.

Kampala Queens have now narrowed the gap at the top of the table, sitting 2nd on 15 points just 2 behind leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC on 17.

Meanwhile, Kawempe was held to a goalless draw in Oliwa. However, the Valley Warriors and 2023/24 champions Kawempe Muslim remain unbeaten this season.

The other two ties on the day between WakisoHill WFC and She Maroons FC and Tooro Queens and She Corporate also ended goalless.

The league will resume tomorrow with Rines SS hosting Makerere University while Uganda Martyrs will visit Amus College.
