The 2024/25 Finance Trust Women Super League resumes this weekend with match day three.

Fresh from signing a huge sponsorship deal with Jonard Conglomerate Investments Limited, Kampala Queens FC will this Saturday morning make a short trip to Makerere University grounds to face off with She Makerere at 10:00 AM.

Both teams have four points from two games, having drawn their opening matches and narrowly won their second games.

Kampala Queens FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over She Corporate FC in their previous game, thanks to Shamirah Nalugya’s first-half goal.

She Makerere earned a slim away victory, beating Tooro Queens 1-0 courtesy of Jemima Twesigye.

Last season, this fixture ended 2-2, with She Makerere FC coming from two goals behind to snatch a point.

Kampala Queens FC have won only one game in their last four meetings.

Kampala Queens coach Charles Ayiekoh Lukula anticipated a tough encounter as he asserted during an interview with this website.

“We’re playing a strong team, especially at home. My players are improving in fitness and performance, which is positive for us. I believe they can secure maximum points on Saturday morning.”

Lukula also acknowledged the team’s new sponsors, Jonard Conglomerate Investments Limited, who injected UGX 200 million for two seasons.

“This boost has lifted the girls’ morale, which will enhance our performance.”

Kampala Queens will miss Elizabeth Nakigozi and Sumayah Komuntale due to knee injuries, while Catherine Nagadya and Kamiyat Naigaga are out due to school engagements. Shamirah Nalugya and Teddy Najjuma are doubtful due to fever.

She Makerere’s players are all available for selection. If Kampala Queens win and Lady Doves fail to win, the Queens of Soccer will temporarily top the table.

Probable Lineups:

Kampala Queens FC:

Daisy Nakaziro (GK), Asia Nakibuuka, Esther Namusoke, Nabulime Jamilah, Shakirah Nankwanga, Winniefred Kwatulira, Merceline Wayodi, Shamirah Nalugya, Peace Muduwa, Zainah Nandede, Shamusa Najjuma.

She Makerere:

Grace Akatuhurira (GK), Hasifah Patricia Namboozo, Winnie Nakanwagi, Maria Gorret Nabbanja, Phiona Catherine Namukose, Josephine Ndagire, Zaina Namuleme, Jemimah Twesigye, Eva Nagayi, Sharon Namatovu, Daphine Nalubowa.

Match day 3 fixtures.
