FT: Unik 0-6 Uganda Martyrs

Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) Nkozi white washed host University of Kisubi (UNIK) in a landslide 6-0 victory to top group E with six points in as many games.

The signature win was held at University of Kisubi Grounds in Kisubi on Sunday, the 6th October 2024.

Sunny Kaija opened scoring in 7 minutes off assister Odoi Valentino’s ball to put UMU in a 1-0 lead before the assister Odoi Valentino completed his brace in the 18th and 63rd minutes of play.

Ivan Agamile released Par Jiek Chiengkuoth, 39 minutes into the game to register himself on a score sheet.

Cripus Sseruwunge made it 5-0 for the visitors in 72 minutes before Ronald Laker Obedgiu sealed the 6-0 win in 88th minutes when he tapped in Wijo Taban’s cross.

This became the second loss for Kisubi following their 2-1 defeat against IUEA in the opener on road.

UNIK became the second side to swallow six in less than a week. Kabale University lost 6-1 against St Lawrence at Crown City in Kavule.

The league will resume on Tuesday as Kampala International University will be hosting Gulu University.
