 FT: MUST 1-1 MUBS

Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) have shared spoils with two-time champions Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in the Pepsi University Football League (UFL).

The 1-1 draw was held this Wednesday evening, the 25th September 2024 in Mbarara.

MUST’s Emmanuel Atuhire broke the deadlock in 50th minute after a blunder from MUBS’ goalkeeper Hillary Ayebare.

Late into the game, Joe Mbabazi Worrick levelled matters for MUBS off Joshua Biyinzika’s assist in the 78th minute.

A point apiece means that MUST and MUBS are tied at the summit of Group F after one game while new entrants Muteesa 1 Royal University are yet to play.

The league will resume tomorrow with only one game on the menu card.

Two-time champions Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) will begin their 2024/25 campaign on Thursday, September 26 against Muni University in Nkozi at 3pm.
