ISBAT University have unveiled a 25 man squad and six technical officials ahead of their 2024/25 Pepsi University Football League opener against holders Nkumba University.

The unveiling event was done on Thursday, the 19th September at ISBAT University main Campus, Lugogo bypass.

During the unveiling, University’s Sports Tutor, Musa Fahad expressed his side’s readiness and trust in squad to favorably and effectively compete for this year’s crown.

“They might take us as under-dogs but our bite is sharper than the lion’s tooth.

As we gather here, our journey officially starts today. We are gathered here as one competing family.

This is the time to shine and announce ourselves as sporting giants in the books of university sports.

This is the team that is going to represent the institution in all competitions majorly the University Football League”. Musa Fahad, ISBAT University Tutor.

In their debut season last year, ISBAT never won a single point in all their group games.

However, tactician, Edrine Raston is optimistic his side will turn the dirty records to escape group stage and feature in this year’s knockout.

“We believe that we’re going to put up a good performance.

This time round we have depth in the squad with lots of changes especially in the playing staff.

Last time we had few players, only 18 compared to the current 25.

The awarding of scholarships to all the boys this year is another motivation and we hope for sublime performance”.  Edrine Raston, ISBAT University Head Coach.
