Vipers SC humble Express FC to register maiden win of the campaign

Under floodlights at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, Vipers SC beat Express FC to bounce back from a 3-1 loss against NEC FC in their opener.

Skipper Milton Karisa scored a brace and a goal from Fumador Awisome earned the Kitende based club their first win of the league campaign under Serbian tactician Nikola Kavazovic.

Karisa scored in 21 minutes to send Vipers in a 1-0  lead in.  He completed his brace in the 75th minute.

Second half substitute  Fumador Awisome  sealed the win for the Venoms in the 84th minute converting from a Milton Karisa delivery.

The loss became Express FC’s first of the campaign. The Red eagles opened the season with a 2-1 win over newbies Mbale Heroes at War Memorial Stadium, Nakivubo.

Vipers will next face Lugazi FC next week on Thursday while Express FC will lock horns with Maroons on Saturday the 28th September.
