Masaza Cup Update: Gomba, Bulemeezi, Mawokota in misery as Ssingo, Kooki, Buwekula celebrate wins

Four wins and three draws have been witnessed today Sunday, the 11th August 2024 at ongoing Masaza Cup tournament.

At their home in Kakooge, Bululi settled for a 1-all draw with Bugerere to maintain their Bulange Group leadership.

Robert Ssewanyana and Charles Musisi scored for Buluuli and Bugerere respectively.

The point has pushed the 2011 champions to 12 points. Buluuli have now managed three wins and two draws. The side is still unbeaten after six games.

In another Bulange group tie, hosts Bulemeezi drew 1-1 with Buddu at Kosovo ground Kasana Luweero.

Santos Marial Agok and Joseph Kayondo were on target for Bulemeezi and Buddu respectively.

Buddu remains 4th on 8 points whilst Bulemeezi occupies the bottom on four.

In Gayaza, Kyadondo and the troubled Butambala shared spoils in a 1-1 draw. Ismail Keita Ndifuna scored for Kyadondo while Butambala’s equalizer came from Tony Ndase.

Buluuli tops Bulange Group on 12 points as Kyadondo sits 2nd with nine.

Ssingo have continued their sublime form with a 1-0 win against Mawogola at Ssaza Grounds in Mityana.

Shaban Kayongo scored the all important goal of the game. Ssingo leads Muganzirwazza Group with 14 points, two above 2nd Buwekula on 12.

Ssingo have won all their home games at home. They defeated Gomba (4-0), (2-0) over Kyaggwe and today’s 1-0 against Mawogola.

Meanwhile, Mawogola sits 4th on 7 points as all teams are having six games.

In the same Muganzirwaza group,  struggling Gomba have lost 2-0 to Buwekula. Jimmy Kalema and Dirisa Masembe scored the two goals.

Elsewhere, Shafik Ssonko scored the all important goal as Kyaggwe lost 1-0 to Kooki.

Mawokota became the only side to lose at home this Sunday after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Busujju.

Busujju are currently 2nd in Masengere group on 12 points, only one behind leaders Kabula on 13.

Meanwhile, Mawokota are 4th with only six points in six games played.
