Maroons FC have announced the signing of Jamal Semwogerere on a 3-year contract.

The 17-year-old diminutive midfielder joins Maroons from a strong youth background of St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School – Kitende and Vipers SC Junior team.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of Jamal Semwogerere on a 3-year contract. The 17-year-old diminutive midfielder joins us from a strong youth development background”. Partly reads the club statement.

Jamal has gone through football schools Buddo SS and St. Mary’s Kitende that have groomed him into a great midfielder.

The midfielder has already represented the Uganda Cubs (U-17 national team) at the 2022 CECAFA U-17 regional tournament finishing as semi-finalists in Ethiopia.

Ssemwogerere joins other other players in Ivan Asaba, Apollo Kagogwe, Ibrahim Juma Dada and Rogers Kiwanuka who were recently unveiled.

Maroons FC will this evening battle BUL FC in the FUFA Super 8 quarterfinal first leg on Friday at St. Mary’s Stadium – Kitende.
