2024 Uganda Premier League champions SC. Villa captain Kenneth Ssemakula has confirmed his exit from the JOGOOS after the expiry of his three year contract.

Ssemakula joined the Villa Park outfit  the Jogoos from BUL three years ago and has been instrumental for the side ending a 20-year wait for league triumph.

“Dear Sports Club Villa Family,

As my time with this incredible club draws to a close, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your skipper and player over these past seasons.

To my teammates, you are not just colleagues, but brothers in arms. Together, we have faced challenges, celebrated victories, and forged bonds that will last a lifetime. Thank you for your dedication, your passion, and your unwavering support on and off the pitch.

To the coaching staff and technical team, your guidance and expertise have been instrumental in our success. Your tireless efforts behind the scenes have helped us reach new heights and achieve our goals. I am truly grateful for everything you have done for me and for the club.

To the chairman Hajji Omar Mandela, the board, and all the stakeholders, thank you for your vision, your leadership, and your commitment to excellence. Your unwavering support has been the foundation upon which our success has been built. It has been an honor to represent this club and to wear the captain’s armband with pride.

To all the staff at Sports Club Villa, from the groundsmen to the administrative team, your hard work and dedication behind the scenes often goes unnoticed, but it is deeply appreciated.

You are the unsung heroes of this club, and I am grateful for everything you do to make it run smoothly.

And to our incredible fans, you are the lifeblood of this club. Your passion, your energy, and your unwavering support have been the driving force behind our success. Whether home or away, rain or shine, you have stood by us through thick and thin, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Your chants, your cheers, and your unwavering loyalty have inspired us to give our all on the pitch, and I hope that we have made you proud.

As I bid farewell, I leave with a heart full of memories and a sense of pride in all that we have accomplished together. The 17th title we clinched in the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season will always hold a special place in my heart, but it is the camaraderie, the friendship, and the sense of belonging that I will cherish the most.

Thank you, Sports Club Villa, for welcoming me with open arms, for embracing me as one of your own, and for allowing me to be a part of something truly special. I will carry the memories of my time here with me wherever I go, and I wish you all nothing but the best in the future.

With heartfelt gratitude”.
