The physical and suppressive tie was held on Friday evening, the 2nd January 2024 at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
BUL FC who last registered a double over KCCA FC in 2016 will wait a bit longer to repeat the same after today’s draw.

The result keeps Abbey Kikomeko’s coached BUL FC at the top of the table with 33 points, while KCCA FC who had a poor first round campaign moved to 20 points.

During the post match press conference, KCCA FC tactician Abdallah Mubiru attributed the loss of points to spoilt chances.

“We were not clinical enough this evening. In such games, you need to convert every chance created to quickly kill off the game.

We didn’t work enough as a team but we are grateful for a point.” Said Abdullah Mubiru.

However, coach Abbey Kikomeko of BUL was convinced with his side’s performance despite the serious injuries registered on the evening.
“The game wasn’t easy for us. As I told you in the pre-match press conference that were meeting a giant sitting 9th on table but having a point to prove before its home fan base.
Getting a point away from home off a team like KCCA FC is a plus to us.
Early injuries that came abruptly disorganised our game strategy but my boys staged a good fight for a point”. Kikomeko.

KCCA FC was without their first choice Goalkeeper Derrick Ochan who lost his mother.

In their next engagements, BUL FC will host Soltilo Bright Stars on Tuesday 6th February at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru whilst KCCA FC will be on road away to Alex Isabirye’s coached express FC on Saturday 10th at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
