Uganda was pitted in group B of the forthcoming CECAFA U-18 Boys Championship 2023 alongside rivals Tanzania and South Sudan.

Lately, there’s always promises and anticipation to thrilling culminations to an electrifying ties whenever Uganda under age sides meet Tanzania and South Sudan.

According to the draws held  on Wednesday, the 15th November at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru, South Sudan was drawn in Group B together with Tanzania, Zanzibar, and Uganda.

The draws were conducted by the CECAFA Director of Competitions Yusuf Mossi. This inaugural edition has attracted 8 teams potted into two groups of A and B.

At the ongoing U-15 CECAFA Championship, Uganda slimly won 2-1 against Tanzania in a three goal semi-final thriller at Njeru.

Group A consists of Kenya and another growing force Rwanda, Somalia and Sudan.

However, Djibouti who was initially drawn to pool A, withdrew participation on 15th November.

The tournament is set to kick off in Kisumu for Group A and Kakamega for Group B on the 25th of November.
