Asubo Ladies FC 1 – 4 Lady Doves FC

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC continued with their perfect run with a slim 1-0 win as Kampala Queens slip on match-day two of the FUFA Women Super League.

Makerere University Women Club came from two goals down to draw against reigning Champions Kampala Queens in a four goals thriller.

The stalemate was played on Sunday morning, the 22nd October 2023 at Makerere Grounds in Kampala.

Fazila Ikwaput scored a brace for the defending champions Kampala Queens.

Ikwaput scored in both halves as the first goal came too early in the 10th meet before she extended the lead to 2-0 in the 47th minute.

However, Josephine Ndagire and Immaculate Jemimah Twesigye second half goals cancelled out Fazila Ikwaput’s brace as the two sides settled for a draw.

In the other game on the day, Mary Kabuculezi scored a lone goal as Kawempe Muslim beat Uganda Christian University 1-0 at Kawempe Valley Grounds.

This became Kawempe’s second consecutive victory in the league after their 3-2 opening victory against Rines in Wakiso last weekend.

Margaret Namande, Resty Kobusobozi, Apiding Cecilia and Daina Natongo scored for Doves in their 4-1 victory over host Asubo Ladies.

Madina Nakayi scored the consolation for home team Asubo Ladies.

Kawempe lead the table with six points in two games. She Maroons, Lady Doves and Kampala Queens, all tied on four points are second, third and fourth respectively.

Rinnes SS FC and Asubo Ladies remain the only two teams without a point from two games and occupy the bottom as second last and last .
