The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) has organized a successful one day training workshop for top boxing coaches in the country.

The one-day training held at College Inn in Wandegeya on Thursday, 5th October 2023.

The workshop attracted 65 boxing coaches from across the country. This will be followed by the Referees and Judges workshop due to tomorrow, Friday the 6th at the same venue.

Uganda boxing federation president Moses Muhangi in his capacity as an International technical officer was among others the chief facilitator.

Tony Ssekabira (Coach), Achiga (RJ), Moses Mugaga (RJ) were the other facilitators.

Selection of national team boxers and coaches, discipline and the new judging system were the top topics.

The workshop aimed at improving coaching standards in Uganda, knowledge on new sports law, memorizing the new IBA technical rules and upcoming innovations for UBF in regards to minors.
